The scope included design and construction of new curbside parking, transit stops, boardwalk and brick accent paving, street trees, traffic bollards, drinking fountains, benches and signage, underground utility service and street lighting, traffic signal interconnection, signage, and channelization.
Project improvements were commissioned and partially
funded by the City of Seattle and the Columbia City Development
Association to create a unified design image and refurbish district
infrastructure. Additionally, the project coordinated parallel projects under
grounding utilities
and constructing new overhead electric bus service lines.
